Survived by children Cheryl Nickell, Ryan Nickell; brothers Steven (Vickie), Galen (Marcia), Ed (Pam), Gordon (Peggy); brother-in-law Marion Kendall; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceded in death by wife Elizabeth; son Paul; daughter Kathryn; sister Doris Kendall; parents Horace and Stella.

Funeral services at, 11 AM Friday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 153 S. McKenna Ave, Gretna, NE. Visitation, Thursday 5-7pm at mortuary. Graveside Service 3pm Friday at Oakland-Quincy Cemetery at Carbon, IA. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to Gretna Fire & Rescue.
